Blacks and gradients are not showng properly any time i am playing a game and there is a gradient that goes into dark colors/black it is really blocky…and blacks don’t seem to display properly/are blocky. I have an ATI 5770 HD…connecting with an HDMI to an LCD monitor. I was playing civ V and in the CG intro movie where there are dark parts it looks really blocky and bad…played the same part on my mac laptop and it was really crisp/smooth.
it could be the color depth of the games settings, or maybe the image quality of your monitor could give bad gradients on dark colors.
