Cannot Connect to Network on Wifi

cannot connect to network on wifi -To begin with check to make sure you have network connectivity, to do this check to make sure the internet is working or you can receive emails.

Once satisfied there is a network connection, run Services.msc and make sure remote access connection manager is not disabled – this can be enabled by right clicking on it and selecting properties – change startup type to automatic and also click the start button.

The second way to resolve the issue of not being able to map network drives via wifi is to reinstall the wifi network cards software, this is very simple and only takes a few minutes to do this.

Right click on My Computer – select Properties – Hardware – Device manager – look for the wifi network card – right click on this and select Uninstall – Now right click on Network adapters and select scan for hardware changes – this will then reinstall the drivers for the network card and will hopefully resolve the issue.

If you connect via a VPN client such as iPass or iRas and cannot map or connect to any network drives then the cause more than likely lies with the wifi card.
It can be deceiving as generally you will still be able to connect to resources such as email or internet.
