If you cannot open Outlook tasks it probably means you cannot either accept or delete them.
The Error
Generally the error message we get is..

Which says Please save the task order by clicking Save Task Order on the Actions menu in the “Tasks” folder. The view must not be filtered or grouped for Save Task Order to be available. Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.
Why does it occur
It occurs when the task view is not set to a simple list view and changes cannot be saved
How can it be resolved
Resolving this issue is pretty straight.
Select Tasks and check the Actions Menu, is Save Task Order grayed out? If so it means that under current view it’s not saved as Simple List.
Select Simple List, if it’s already on Simple List choose Detailed List and then re-choose Simple List, check under the Actions menu tab and Save Task Order should be highlighted, Select this and then try opening the task giving problems.
If the Task still fails to open close Outlook making sure it’s not still running as a task using Windows task manager and then re-launch it and try again.
