Changing Cursor XP

When changing your cursor XP makes it very simple to do, as a default it has lots to choose from.

Cursor XP Changing How to

To change your default XP cursors firstly go to the Mouse section in Control Panel , this can be accessed from Start menu > Control Panel > Mouse

Now select the Pointers tab

From here there are a number of choices, to begin with use the drop down under Scheme to easily change the Cursor, click Apply to activate it.

Once you feel a bit more adventurous there are a few other options we can use, firstly under Customize you can change individual elements rather than everything like the theme options will do.

If you’re looking for that special theme there are literally thousands to be found simply by searching using one of the main search engines such as Google or MSN, you can then choose a cursor inline with your hobbies or interests.

Other options we have to play with are..

  • Enable pointer shadow, this simply gives a shadow to any of your cursors.

By selecting the Pointer Options tab we can alter the speed of the cursor in relation to the amount of mouse movement, useful for large screens

  • Snap to which means the cursor will jump to any very near clickable locations on the screen.
  • Visibility which gives your cursor a tail increasing in length when the cursor is moved.

One point to bare in mind, changing cursors to an animated type does put a small load on your computer processor, so if you have a slow computer it may be noticeable.
