Google Adsense Alternatives

Are there any viable Google Adsense alternatives on the market?

In my opinion NO there probably is not a single viable alternative, but there are alternatives if multiple types are used in conjunction with one another.

Let’s be clear about this, in terms of earning per click they may not be the best, but where they are head and shoulders above any other affiliate or pay per click service is the amount of publishers they have.

I reckon you could setup a website on something obscure such as Tarantulas and you could get ads on your site with something pretty much in line with this.

The sheer number of companies advertising on Google means just about every page running Adsense should have ads which are usually very much inline with the content of the page.

This then means the click through rate should be higher than using another service which does not have as many publishers, so the ads may not be as targeted or accurate resulting in lower click through rates for the website and conversion rates for the ad publisher.

What can we do to get around this? We use multiple products that together make Google Adsense alternatives

One method that I have found to work well is to use different advertising mediums, by this I mean using a pay per click service such as Chitika or Yahoo Partners which gives you the ad content automatically, but also use Affiliate programs pointing towards direct products.

This way if your pay per click service cannot provide an ad inline with your content you have a backup affiliate ad, which will be targeted by yourself as you select the content, this offers a way to give yourself a backup, not only in case of no inline ads being available for your content, but also in case your pay per click service ever has problems.

I would recommend having a backup in place even if you are using Google Adsense, after all if your website is your bread and butter your revenue could be wiped out in a single hit, but having a backup in place means you will always be earning whatever the reason.

The reason I recommend 2 pay per click ads comes down to logistics.

The first ad will normally yield the highest revenue, the second ad will be the nest highest and so on, and so by the time we reach the third ad block the earnings per click could be very slow, so by substituting the third ad block for an affiliate ad is something I found to work very well.
