Google Adsense made easy
Google Adsense made easy was written
by computer-adviser.com to explain what Google Adsense is and
how it works.
If like most people you hear the word
Adsense and you see those dollar signs you will be pleased to
know yes you can make money, and lots of people make a very good
living from this.
What is Google Adsense ?
Google Adsense is a PPC or pay per click service, once you have
Google Adsense ads on your website or blog and a visitor clicks
on an ad you get paid for it, this can be a few cents, up to
around $10, but I have found the average to be around 28 cents,
but this varies depending on product types and Advertiser
competition.
To understand how Adsense works we also need to understand
Google Adwords and how Adsense depends on it.
Google Adwords
works hand in hand with Google Adsense, and if there was no
Adwords there would be no Adsense.
Google Adwords is an advertising
service that allows advertisers to advertise their products
using Google, if you search for something in Google you will
usually see on the right and sometimes on the top of the search
screen the words Sponsored Links,
these are Advertisers selling products using Adwords.

links which are Advertisers advertising using Google Adwords
If you go to a website that is using
Google Adsense you will see the words Ads by Google around any
Adsense ad
This means advertisers advertise
products using Google Adwords and the products are then
advertised on websites using Google Adsense.
The reason that the click amount
varies so much for Adsense publishers is usually down to several
factors.
If the market for a product
is competitive this will make advertising more expensive for any
advertiser, meaning they will have to pay more per click to get
listed near the top of Google’s ad list, this then means the
earnings per click may be higher for the Adsense publisher
serving the ads.
One the flip side if the advertisers
competition is low, then they will pay less per click, meaning
that Adsense ads will generally pay less per click.
Smart pricing has been getting a lot
of press recently, if you have a website serving Adsense ads and
a your site gets a good click rate, but not many people follow
through on the clicks to actually complete a sale
Google can penalize you for this, but if your website gets a
good Adsense click through rate, and a good click through to
sale rate your Adsense earnings will be higher.
I think this worried a lot of Adsense
publishers, but you have to think, Google is simply looking
after it’s advertisers, without them no one would be earning
anything.
As long as you
have a website or blog with good content you should not really
be affected by smart pricing.
If you want to use Google Adsense,
you will need an established blog or website that has regular
traffic, it does not need to be thousands or even hundreds per
day, it just needs to be regular.
Apply to Google for your Adsense
account, it does not cost anything, but it can take a while to
get a reply so keep adding more site content in the meantime.
Once you have been accepted login to
Google’s Adsense console and create your ads, you don’t need to
know any programming skills as it creates the code for you
depending on which type of ads you want, in terms of size,
colors and type.
There really is no
secret to creating the best ads for your site, what works for
one website may not work for another, so apart from making ads
blend into your websites color scheme, trial and error is the
best way to get the most from your Google Adsense ads.
Now you simply paste the code into
your web pages, Google will interrogate your websites pages and
place ads on your site which are in-line with your sites
subject.
Important
Make sure you never click on your own Ads, or get anyone to
click on them, or you will be banned very quickly. If you share
a computer make sure anyone else using the computer also knows
this. If Google bans you its extremely difficult to get
reinstated again.
Google Adsense made easy also covers what
to do if your Adsense application gets rejected.
