choosing an internet access provider there are so many ISP’s (
internet service provider ) offering the greatest deal, but how
great are they?
After all, the bottom
line is every internet service provider offers the same
functionality of being able to connect to the internet and send
and receive email and files.

little bits around it that can make a huge difference and make
your life online a pleasure rather than a bind.
Firstly of course is

dollars each way should really not be a factor in your
selection.

connection, but in truth you’ll probably never see this kind of
speed over phone line connections as there are too many factors

The speed shown by
the internet service provider will be the download speed, the
upload speed may be much slower, this can be an issue if you
upload a lot.
What is the speed of
the computer/website you are connecting to? How many people are
connecting at the moment? This all has an impact of your speed.
How much your phone
line or phone exchange handle, many exchanges can will only
allow up to around 2mb, so maybe that ultra fast connection may
not be so fast in practice.

If ever you have issues such as a loss of internet you really
want an internet service provider who will get on top of the
situation fast.
Some internet
providers out source their support, firstly the support calls
may cost high amounts and secondly you may have trouble
understanding someone in a call centre in another country who’s
use of the English language may not be clear.
How long before you
can actually speak to an employee of the company?
Any internet provider
is only as good as it’s support side, it’s not a question of if
you will have any internet issues, but when. It’s all about how
your internet service provider deals with the situation from
there.

protection, email, web space, spyware protection which is a good
thing, however things such as email & web space does tie you to
your internet service provider , after all once you’ve got your
website up and running and everyone knows your email address it
