My laptop mouse has failed it was working fine, but all of a sudden its given up the ghost and died, its only about 4 months old so should not break.
Its a wired mouse not wireless so i dont think it has batteries in it.
I’ve tried putting it into other USB ports, but still its not even picked up, i look in device manager and its not in there, but i do notice when i power on the computer the laser light comes on, its only when i go into windows it goes off, does this mean it could be a software problem?
Any help appreciated i just hope i dont have to go and purchase another laptop mouse so soon.
Could be your USB driver database has a problem if you cannot install simply by plugging it in.
Also try another mouse, or try your mouse in another computer, this will determine where the issue lies.
