If you cannot run any latest service pack for any reason, or are running an operating system other than XP, you can download the latest versions of Internet Explorer from Microsoft.com.
An Internet Explorer upgrade or install could not be easier click on the file or download and it’s off and running.
Depending on your internet connection this may take a while.
During this time close all applications apart from the download of course and then allow the install to complete.
Most large updates do require a reboot once completed, but after this your ready to surf using your updated browser.
Even if your current or older version of Internet Explorer works fine, it’s still worth upgrading.
A large proportion of updates including Internet Explorer do include extra security, which is a must these days.
If you are looking to remove Internet Explorer, from the Start menu select , Control Panel, now select Add or Remove Programs, select Add/Remove Windows Components, from the sub menu on the left, here you will see Internet Explorer, until this, click next , after a few seconds it will be gone.
If you need to re-install Internet Explorer, it’s just a case of performing the opposite in terms of checking Internet Explorer from the Add/Remove Windows Components box.
