For some reason i am not able to play games like nfs shift and nfs hot pursuit on my laptop , my graphics keeps getting stuck, freezing and generally lagging? My laptop is a Compaq cq60-104tu, with 3gb ram and intel dual core processor, what could be causing this problem as my computer should be able to run it as it says on the games box.

Took me a while to find the overall specs of your laptop, but it looks like it has an Intel GMA 4500M graphics chipset, this is not a good graphics card for gaming as its one of the shared memory types, its borrows system ram which makes it slower.
Your only options are to play the game in its basic settings, make sure no other apps are running, set windows to performance over looks, and ensure your using the very latest graphics drivers you can find.
