If you are using Outlook 2000 or earlier which is in ANSI format download the freeware application called ost2pst.exe this can easily be found from Google
If you are using Outlook 2003 or later the format has changed to UNICODE so ost2pst.exe will not initially work.
One thing to try is, make a copy of your OST file run the PST repair tool SCANPST.EXE, this must be the version that comes with Outlook XP or 2000, 2003 will not work.
Rename the copy OST file extension to PST, now run the SCANPST.EXE over this file, once finished rename the PST back to an OST file.
