If you want setup a website or blog without having to learn any real programming or in-depth technical skills then selecting a hosting service that offers scripted blog installs or an easy website designer could be the option for you.

Traffic Statistics
One of the most desirable parts of a website package is traffic statistics, without this you have no way of knowing how many people have visited your site, many hosting companies such as SBI offer this as a free service, but be warned some do charge extra for this type of service.

If you’re hosting service does not provide this type of service or they charge to much

SEO (Search engine optimization)
If you want your website to perform well in search engines and thus get more visitors then you need to implement some SEO.

Many hosting companies offer SEO software, or even SEO services (this can cost more, but it can be money very well spent in terms of extra traffic if they do a good job)

a) Getting links from other websites to yours (this will make your website seem more important in the view of the search engines, such as Yahoo or Google)

b) Adding H1/H2 headings, Meta titles, descriptions and keywords

Don’t worry too much if you’re not too familiar with this, as we said above many hosting companies provide this as software or a service, plus there are lots of products on the market to help.
