You may not realize it but recycled printer cartridges are quite
a considerable polluter of the environment, firstly have a think
of the amount of devices that use printer cartridges, just about
every company has one or more, with millions of homes users with
home printers.
Now when we consider that most people don’t save on your
printing costs and use recycled printer cartridges that’s a lot
of non biodegradable plastic that goes into the garbage,
currently over a million per day.
The manufacturing costs of a cartridge are
between a few ounces and 3 quarts of oil, multiply that by a few
million.
If we can manage to recycle just 15% of our printer cartridges
around 60 million less cartridges will go into our trash, we
will create around 150,000,000 pounds less green house gasses.
Why don’t more of us use recycled
cartridges ?
There used to be a case of the print quality of recycled
cartridges not being as good as new ones, if you use a reputable
cartridge recycler then the quality will be the same, plus
you’ll get a guarantee, so what have you got to lose?
You can also find recycled cartridges with up to 200% more ink
in at up to 50% less than a new equivalent so the cost savings
are around 200% that's a big save on printing costs even more so
if you need to print a lot.
On another note have a think when you are about to print
something, do you really need a printed version? We have
apparently entered the paperless society, but we now use more
paper than at any other time in history.
