Search Engine Submission
Search Engine Submission Conclusion
Everyone, myself included naturally assumes when you launch
your first website that you need to submit sites and pages to
search engines to get indexed and listed, but today I have not
submitted a website or page to any search engine for
over 4 years now, I generally get new pages ranked within a few
hours and new sites within 48 hours.
Search engine submission services,
maybe I’m missing something here, but I’ve never seen the need
to use one of these services, an unnecessary expense? You decide
Firstly) they cost money, Money
which could be better spent purchasing something like decent
keyword research, or other SEO software.
Secondly) as above there are only
there are only 4 main search engines and most of the minor
search engines use the index of the major ones, meaning that if
your already listed in the major one, you’re probably already
in.
Thirdly) submit a few articles to
article directories, and/or get a few back links from sites
already listed in the search engines, get your site map in place
and write unique content, lots of it which will then get indexed
the next time the search engine bots come along.
Before you contact another website to
exchange links check to see if is listed in Google, Yahoo or
Bing, type site:domain name, for example
site:computer-adviser.com
