By typing the following from a search engine, usually Google, MSN or yahoo

Site: domain name shows how many pages a domain name has indexed within a search engine, don’t forget to choose local country information if that’s what you’d like to see.
Link:domain.com counts the amount of links to the domain , found to be not too reliable.

domain.com -site:domain.com returns all occurrences of domain.com not in domain.com the - means not + means only.
related:domain.com returns what sites Google considers to be your subject area.
