How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 7 & 6

How to uninstall Internet Explorer - it’s not everyone’s favourite browser and yet we have no option when purchasing a new computer, it is however easy to remove if not needed.

Uninstall Internet Explorer 7

From the Start menu select Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs

Find Internet Explorer 7 and select remove

If Internet Explorer 7 cannot be found in the Add or Remove Programs group,

Make sure all files and folders are un-hidden

My Computer > Tools > View tab > look for Hidden files and folders, now select show hidden files and folders

Now run the file spuninst.exe it can be found in your Windows directory/ie7/spuninst

Uninstall Internet Explorer 6

From the Start menu select Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs

Select Add/Remove Windows Components, un-tick Internet Explorer > Next
