MSN Messenger Tips
Creating you own custom Web Messenger Emoticons
If you wish to create your own emoticons it’s pretty easy. To begin with find a picture that you think would make a good emoticon.
It’s worth noting though, the images for emoticons are pretty small so if your picture has too much detail it won’t look so hot.
If you wish to create an animated emoticon then you’ll just need to create an animated GIF ,
I’d recommend using something like Animation shop which is part of Paintshop pro , it’s easy to use and enables you to create effects on a single image or string together a whole succession of images so you can get some great effects very easily.
Once you’ve decided on the image you wish to use it will need to be in one of the following formats
BMP , GIF “if animated “, JPG / Jpeg or PNG .
Firstly open up a chat window and now go to the emoticon selection ,
select “ More “ under the emoticons,
select “ Create “ ,
Click on “ Find Image “ and point it at your image. Give it a name and a keyboard shortcut and your done , you should now have a custom web messenger emoticon.
Screen Magnifying
When you have a chat dialogue box open, if you hold down the CTRL key and use the mouse wheel to scroll up you’ll find the chat screen becomes magnified .
Just hold the CTRL key and scroll the wheel the other way to zoom out.
